Welcome to the Caprian Theatre Company website

The Caprian Theatre Company was established in 1964 as the Caprian Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, and was renamed as the Caprian Theatre Company in 2006.

The purpose of this website is to advertise the works of the Gateshead's Caprian Theatre Company.  Links will eventually be made available to our constitution, history, previous shows and other items of interest such as the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).

We are gradually expanding our website with photos, reviews and other material, so please bookmark our site and keep visiting us in the future.

The Caprians are affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, NODA, and due to their geographic location are assigned to its Northern Area.

Congratulations Rachel and Lewis on your engagement; a proposal on stage must be another first for the Caprians!

Many Congratulations to our Chairman Tom Stafford for receiving the prestigious Gateshead Medal award for over 40 years of service to the community.  This is a well-earned mark of Tom's commitment to the amateur arts in Gateshead, not just to the Caprians.

We now have an active Facebook group.  Search for Caprian Theatre Company in the relevant 'groups' page of Facebook.

The Company is affiliated to the Gateshead Arts Association, an arts umbrella body representing the interests of performing, visual and literary arts organisations within the Borough of Gateshead.
