The Roaring Twenty's American College Musical 'Good News' is set in 1928 in the fictional campus of US Tait College. The story follows the final few days of the college football team, with their Coach and Trainer, and their antics with various 'flappers', cheerleaders and Tutors. This show has a long list of well known numbers in it, including 'Keep Your Sunny Side Up', 'Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries', 'The Best Things in Life Are Free', 'Take Good Care of Yourself (You Belong To Me)' and 'You're the Cream In My Coffee'. Star footballer Tom Marlowe is put off his stride when he is tutored in Astronomy by shy, retiring girl Connie Lane. Geeky nerd Bobby Randall is pursued by go-getting god time girl Babe O'Day, followed by her ex-boyfriend Beef. Meanwhile, Coach is re-igniting passions with former sweetheart Charlotte Kenyon (now a Professor at the College). [By arrangement with MusicScope and Stage Musicals, New York]
