NO, NO NANETTE (2002) | ||||
|
|
This story concerns the complications brought about by the unwise generosity of Jimmy Smith, a wealthy publisher of Bibles, and the problems faced by Nanette, the young ward and his wife Sue. Nanette, who is still in the process of completing her education, feels very grown up and wishes to be treated like an adult and have fun (1920s style!). Her desires are continually thwarted by other people saying No, No Nanette. It's a lighthearted story, written by Otto Harbach and Frank Mandel, which reaches a happy conclusion for all concerned. The music is by Vincent Youmans, with lyrics by Irving Ceasar and Otto Harbach. This adaptation is by Burt Shevelove. [By arrangement with MusicSope and Stage Musicals of New York] |
